THINGS TO SEE AND DO The Federated States of Micronesia are spread across 2,500 kilometers of the Western Central Pacific Ocean, just north of the equator, the four states of Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei and Yap and their 607 islands (only 65 of which are inhabited) offer fun, adventure, excitement and relaxation. Activities include excellent scuba diving, snorkelling, hiking to secluded lakes or waterfalls, watching traditional village dances, and more. A variety of accommodation options are available in the main centres. Please note that a trip to the outer islands is sure to be a memorable experience but the logistics are complicated and arrangements should be made at least several months in advance. |
